Tip: Getting Married in the Park—what a great way to set the tone for a wonderful gathering in an unusual setting.

Whether your wedding will be formal or informal, an intimate gathering or a gala affair, in summer or winter, there's a park that will fit your needs. Couples should do their research before booking a park for their wedding site. Keep in mind the time of year you are looking at for your wedding day preference.

There are a number of advantages to a park wedding. The cost is very reasonable—you don't have to decorate a lot which can save you money. There is usually colorful flowers and lots of greenery to add to your atmosphere. Most parks allow amplified music as well as beer and wine so couples can enjoy a champagne toast. 

Some tips to keep in mind for a Park Wedding:

• Check out your county park's website for information and photos of each park.
• Call the park's reservation line and request a wedding packet including information on all park locations and their amenities.
• Visit parks, preferably at the time of year and time of day that your wedding will take place. 
• Talk with rangers and ask questions and ask for suggestions.

And like for any event, doing your homework before signing contracts can really relieve stress and help you to make the best decisions for your special day.
