Tip: Carve out a  piece of your personality with an Ice Sculpture.  They can easily reflect your personality.

One couple got engaged at the top of the Empire State Building and their ice sculpture was just that.  It made a great conversation piece for guests as they gathered around the table.  They all commented that was where they got engaged, so everyone had something to talk about.

An ice sculpture is often on the head table, in the center of the buffet table, or near the place card or gift table.

It is easy to have your ice sculpture reflect your personality.  When two music lovers recently wed, they displayed an ice sculpture of a guitar.  If you are having a theme wedding, it is one way to work this into your wedding details.  For a New Orleans theme, a couple had a sculpture of two saxophones intertwined.

amazing iceSome couples choose a sculpture that is purely decorative such as a swan or vase that holds fresh flowers to compliment their theme. Sculptures can also hold food or champagne.  A frozen nautical image, such as a fish or a sailboat, can be placed at a seafood station and hold items such as shrimp and cocktail sauce.

Some companies can freeze flowers and other items into the ice.  Colored ice is also available from some companies.

When you interview ice sculpture companies, ask to see samples of their work.  Check to see that the ice is crystal clear, without imperfections.  To insure long life, your ice sculpture should be stored in a freezer until one hour before presentation.

And as always interview 3 vendors so you have a comparison.

You can find an ice carver in your area by visiting the National Ice Carving Association web site.

Enjoy and stay organized.

Fondly,
Marlene
