Tip: Wedding
invitations are a very important part of your wedding planning.
They set the tone for your wedding; it is the first thing your
guests will see; everyone will see the invitation--not everyone
will attend the wedding.Your invitation ensemble will create
the feeling and carry out the theme of your wedding.
Your
invitation introduces the wedding couple, sponsors and hosts.
It provides date, time and place information. Also wedding style.
There should be a response set to be returned to you so you
will have an accurate count of who is coming. You will need
to order a reception card if your reception is at a different
location than the ceremony.
Lately, more brides are ordering direction cards to include
with the invitation set to help guests find the locations easier.
You may want to include hotel information as well. If you are
having a wedding weekend, this should be considered when you
are ordering invitations. Rehearsal dinner, brunch the day after,
golf tournaments are all a part of events your out of town guests
should know in advance. You may want to consider a Save-the-Date
card to mail out 6 months or earlier to give advance information.
The best events are the ones that are completely thought through
so everyone you want can be there to share with you.
Stay organized!
