Do you think they are expensive?  How about an attorney?  A doctor?  A dentist?

When you hire an experienced consultant, you are getting all of her knowledge, past experiences, expertise and ideas in her package.  You plan for this day for so long, why not let a professional assist you.  Consider them the best insurance policy you can have on the day of your wedding.

You can hire a consultant to plan the entire event, do most of the planning or even just have them do a smaller amount.  But most important, you want them there to be sure your event comes off smoothly without a hitch.

They will go over contracts, remind vendors of set-up times, verify all items ordered arrived, call guests that have not responded, among many other things that you may not know about or want to handle.

Remember to interview at least three so you have comparisons.  You want the person you hire to fit your personality.

It is really a nice luxury to have this service.  Some Wedding Consultants charge a percentage of the event, some charge a flat fee, some may have different packages to select from, others by the hour.  

Anything that needs to be answered or problems that occur will be handled by your consultant.  This will enable you to be a guest at your own wedding and enjoy all aspects of your day without any stress.  What a relief!

If you are considering using a consultant, check them out before you decide they are too expensive or not for you.  You want to make sure you know all you need to know about what a consultant will do for you before you eliminate this from your day.
